Does anyone know how competitive it is to get accepted to the Villanova Dental Affiliate program? You get accepted as a freshman to Nova, take 3 years of pre-dental classes, and then start dental school at Penn.

Thanks

We have heard it is fairly competitive as there are 4 schools that have the combined program with Penn plus the Penn undergraduates who apply directly as Penn students.

D completed her Bio-Dental supplement for Penn and it was mailed today. Even though she was accepted EA to Villanova, we won’t hear about the dental affiliate program until late March.

the dental program is difficult to get into, as are the other medical programs villanova has (MD, PT, OD etc…). I would recommend that you connect with the health professions adviser Dr. Russo for more specific info.

thanks to you both.

D got an email from the Director of the program inviting her to their information sessions at the upcoming accepted students weekend. I don’t know if all the applicants to the program received this email or if this might be a predictor that she will be accepted to the program. She was accepted to the school EA and also to the Honors program. Did anyone else reading this get a similar email?

Avon, sorry, I hadn’t been back to this thread in a bit. D is a junior, so she hasn’t applied yet. Good luck.
