Anyone going into that program?
I am trying to decide between Villanova/Drexel and JHU BME.
Will probably go with the join BS/MD program.
Any advise why I should/should not go to Villanova/Drexel?
Thanks for your input.

Anyone considering Villanova/Drexel?
Please let me know.

Remember, you gotta make a 30 on the MCAT...scoring no less than 9 on a subsection to stay in the Drexel fast track program. Almost like what a pre-med has to go through. Whatever...

its easier than that. With the drexel fast track you have to meet the requirements, but as a pre-med you have to score as high as you possibly can, so it's a little less pressure.

I have been to both campuses. Both are fine. Have to pay full tuition for both
Schools. What I would miss in a long term if I choose Villanova/Drexel BS/MD vs JHU BME program?
Thanks for your advice.

I am a Drexel Biomedical Engineering Major in the BS/MD Program. I'm transferring out because I hate the school.

can you share with us what's wrong? I am a junior and thinking to apply drexel/drexel in the fall.

If you've heard that they admit kids with 1200 SATs into the BS/MD program, that sounds about right. Basically, the profile of the admitted student is the same--same ethnicity, same major (Bio), same constant partying. I'm an engineering major (biomedical) in the BS/MD program, and i'm only one of two in that boat. Socially, this place is pretty awful. Just about everyone goes home on the weekends, the parties are stupid and usually get crashed by the police (mind you I'm not a partier), and the student body is totally one-dimensional and immature. Prepare to be unimpressed. Also, Drexel Med is pretty crappy. Med School is NOT Med School, as some people might claim. If you're going to pay 50k a year to go to Med School, go to a school with a great reputation. This place is so internally chaotic I can't speak enough of it. Of course you might have a better experience if you're coming from Villanova or Lehigh, but I'm speaking form Drexel undergrad. However, what you could do is give Drexel a shot for a year. If you don't like it, try to transfer. The problem is that since we're on a quarter system you will get screwed with credits.

Wait itsn't the minimum 1360? My friend was rejected without an interview. He had a higher GPA than me and he called them up and asked why and they told him it was because he did not get a 1360 on the sat's in one sitting.
