Starting this thread for everyone deferred to RD from EA this year… does anyone know the chances of getting in RD?
Maybe Nova tired to protect their pool as many competitive applicants have been deferred. Let’s hope the chances remain high for diferred applicants to get in.(Fingers Crossed)
Btw from which school did you got deferred? I got deferred from the Business School
Joining in on this thread because S was deferred from the engineering program. Our high school had 34 applicants. Only 1 was accepted and she’s not going to attend. (She was accepted ED to her dream school.)
D was deferred. Super scored ACT 31 gpa uw 3.7 w 4.4. Two sport varsity 3 years each Great references from teachers, counselor, coach and pastor and more. Came from nationally ranked large public hs in Illinois. Hoping she still has a chance. When will they hear?
D was deferred with an ACT of 33 & weighted GPA of 3.9. Received an email yesterday asking for more financial info for her financial aid package. Not sure what to make of it, any insight?
@ny1517 my child got in EA and received the same email yesterday. I know all financial info has to be in by the 15th.
I hope it means good news for you !!
Thanks so much for letting me know, fingers crossed
My child got deferred from the Nursing school. Hoping to hear either way before April 1st! He got into several others with good merit but still is serious about Nova.
@Momtofourkids are you willing to share his stats as well is what geographic region you are from (NE, etc) and if you have legacy status? My DD is looking at Nova for nursing and I would like to get an idea. What other schools did he apply to? My DD is also looking at Drexel, Creighton, Bradley, and Azusa Pacific.
S deferred VBS, 4.21 weighted GPA, 33 ACT, good xc’s, average essays. It’s his #1 choice. Into PC which is his #2. Waiting on a few RD to come out March ish also.
DD deferred VBS, 1380 SAT, 3.9 WGPA, rigorous HS, mostly Honors and AP classes, lots of sports but minimal other ECs. Disappointed…
Did anyone receive an invitation to apply for the St.Augustine scholarship for regular decision applicants? The website says that RD applicant will be invited to apply for this scholarship by today?
Was hoping to be asked to apply for the St Augustine scholarship but nothing
@ryancollegeready I got nothing here either. Maybe they didn’t send out invitations yet because nobody has said anything about getting one for RD students. I know they were supposed to come out the 9th originally but got pushed back because of the number of applications. Maybe they got pushed back again
My daughter was deferred as a Biology major, gpa 4.0, sat 1310, act 27, AP/Honors courses, NHS, from NH.
Hoping for good news today.
As a Villanova grad and married to a Villanova grad, of course it would be great if our daughter got an acceptance today (deferred EA) but it’s also exciting knowing we are one step closer to knowing the ending of this process if she doesn’t get in. She has two other very good choices. Good luck to all.
