@nursing2020ny judging by the thread zfrom last year and the year before, I’m pretty sure we should be getting information for the MyNova portal right about now and then next Friday, the 18th they will start posting the decisions on the portal
Not sure if anyone else has been to the nova portal today. There was a message posted that the site and some of its functions will be down tomorrow until Sunday. Maybe to upload decisions??? So maybe next week there will be news possibly.
@pkchamp89 i saw that too. last year they found out on a thursday so i’m assuming we hear next thursday the 17th. the message thing also expires on the 17th so im thinking they will post it then
I’m pretty nervous-- I’m at the low end of the GPA spectrum and have a 30 composite, 31 superscored on the ACT. Fingers crossed though. Good luck everyone!
On the website it says “Applicants not admitted under EA will be considered under the provision of Regular Decision and notified in late March” Does this mean no one will get flat out rejected if they applied for Early Action?
Yes. You are either accepted or waitlisted and your application will go into the pool of all the other RD applicants. There is no “Denied” response from 'Nova on EA.
When I’ve talked to reps, they’ve repeated the date December 21st a lot. I believe that the decision will come out online on the myNova portal on the 20th, and they will mail the decisions on the 21st. Just my educated guess!
@AL0729, from what I recall at the EA accepted students day they made a very big deal about how that group of students should be very proud to be accepted EA because they reserve that designation for the top candidates. That being said, your stats look pretty good and essays are weighted heavily there. My daughter’s acceptance letter had a personal note from the admission counselor saying that they loved her essay. What major did you apply to? That also can make a difference…
Hi! I applied to the BS/DMD joint degree program in November and I was wondering if anyone has heard back from Villanova about supplements for the dental school portion?
I applied to VSB, and yea last year they gave out decisions through the MyNova portal on the 18th, so sometime during the end of next week they should be out! I have a 30 act but 31 superscored act too. And I’m ranked 4/300 in my class and have a variety of leadership positions, one in particular is a state president for a business organization. Im nervous but excited at the same time
@dac2016 I believe it is one of the tougher programs to get into. Average SAT mid range of accepted students is 1360-1410. My ACT is similar to yours: 31 but 32 superscored. We may get deferred to RD. Engineering is also a tough one.
@dac2016@motortrend I have a 30 ACT, 31 superscored, applied to Liberal Arts and Sciences because I was afraid I wouldn’t get in to VSB with my lower-than-most gpa. I have a lot of extra curriculars-- team captain, student body pres, volunteer work but I rank in the top 80% of my class (aka the bottom 20%). I’m just hoping they give my app a closer look after they see my grades. Wishing you guys the best of luck, post back in here and let us all know how it goes.
