@pago18 there were rejections in the EA pool. several of my son’s friends were denied. Thankfully my S was deferred.

that’s a great scholarship. Any idea when the applications for that come out? Will they email our kids?

I received a letter for honors and now for the scholarship.
My D also received a letter to apply for St. Augustine scholarship…essay due in two weeks I think. Does anyone know if there is a correlation between the Presidential scholarship and the St. Augustine? i.e.: if you were invited to apply for the St. Augustine, does that mean you are out of the running for the Presidential? Or are they totally separate? Eight short essays for the Presidential and now another for the Augustine. That’s a lot of writing 
@DoingOurBest Not sure if you can stack scholarships at Villanova but you could email presidentialscholarship@villanova.edu and ask them your question. They are quick with their responses.
Did you ever find out the answer to this!? After writing 8 essays, one more is daunting. But may be worth it
I’m pretty sure that scholarships are not stackable…I was just wondering if her invitation to the St Augustine meant that she was out of the running for the Presidential. I’m still not sure on that. In fact, I just logged into CC to see if anyone has heard yet about the Presidential…
I’m sure they don’t stack them. That wouldn’t make sense. I , too, am wondering whether my D , who got the application for Augustine scholarship, is now out of the running for Presidential. I guess we will see soon. Odds are not in anyone’s favor. So many bright students out there! Good luck!
@auntlu was it released on her page that she isn’t a finalist because that’s what the page on the PS says is being announced late January?

PS Committee doesn’t submit their decisions until noon today, then they need to be uploaded into system which takes time. I’m guessing Presidential notifications won’t come out until Wed at the earliest and will be sent via portal. All applicants will be notified one way or the other.
I have a question re: Presidential Scholarship. Is a student still eligible if deferred under EA? Application was completed for the scholarship. Not likely to be considered but just curious.
