<p>hey im a prospective student and im having trouble getting a feel for how good villanovas engineering program is. Im 100% sure that i am going to major in chemical engineering. so first off how good is villanova's engineering program overall? it seems decent but everytime someone says nova i think about their business school and thats what a lot of my friends think as well. Also are there a lot of opportunities to get involved in research and internships/coops. Does nova have good connections with industry? I also noticed that novas starting salary for chemEs was lower than the national average so that kinda bothers me. I love everything about the school so far but im a bit unsure about how good they are for engineering and this is obv really important. Finally relative to lehigh university how does nova compare?</p>
<p>Lehigh has a better engineering program. Villanova is a good school, but not great for engineering. Here’s an old thread regarding Lehigh v. <p>thanks thats what i thought…when i visited lehigh i really loved it i just didnt want to shut out other schools. the only problem i had with lehigh was supposedly it is more than just a big party school which is good and bad. i plan on partying a little but i want to be successful grade wise in engineering which is the main reason im going to college(partying a lot and doing well in engineering dont go well together haha) from what ive read novas atmosphere is a bit nicer for engineering students in terms of not being around people who constantly party</p>
