<p>Is it a long shot or what?</p>

<p>Currently attend Loyola University Maryland as a biology major.
Looking to matriculate to dentistry or med school.</p>

<p>Looking to transfer for junior year for all schools or even maybe next semester spring 11</p>

<p>Highly respectable letters of recommendation ( 1 Harvard alum, 1 highly known cardiac surgeon )
3.23 - 1st semester ( I know a little low)
3.88 - 2nd semester (current and basically secure)
Finally found my place, aiming between 3.8-4.0 for next 2 semesters.</p>

<p>i would say with miami, nova, uga and maryland you have more than a reasonable chance to get in matter of fact if you didnt get in i would be surprised i got into miami having taken 42 units in a community college gpa was 3.85 i they accepted 40 of my units as for nyu i also applied there and i am waiting to here back but given all your info you have a good shot so long as you maintain your gpa near a 3.7 the only school that might be on the fence is georgetown but i wouldnt say you have no chance overall your looking good to get into most if not all the schools your looking into</p>
