I'd like to major in psychology and do pre medical. I was just wondering which college promotes the best environment for a pre med student. Which college can give the best education without bogging me down with too much of a work load? And which college can give me the best GPA for a medical school to look at with out killing myself with work?
Thanks, all responses are appreciated.

Unless things have changed a lot since I went to college, psych is not a great major for pre-med. You need to take a hard science like biology or bio-chem, if you are not taking a straight pre-med track. And if you want to go to med school, you want to take the most challenging courses you can and excel at them. (Personally, I want a doctor who studied absolutely everything he or she could and learned it completely.)

That advice is more important than which school will be easier. Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh, but the facts is the facts.

Yeah, I agree. I’m not sure about Villanova, but I know that if you major in Bioengineering at the University of Maryland, your chances of getting into a good med school go up significantly (well, if you work hard and still get a good GPA and all of that). Sorry for being a bit harsh but if you want to do pre-med and get into a good school, like getting into any good school after college, you’re going to have to put in a lot more work than those that go out and party every night.

if you really enjoy psychology and have a passion for it, i think you should definitely do it! you do want to have a strong science background, and if you think that just completing the med school pre reqs and a lot of studying will get you a good mcat score then you should do it!! gpa is really really important so don’t do a major that could be too difficult for you because the bottom line is that you’ve got to get great grades

i heard villanova is pretty decent at premed but i don’t know if its significantly different from cp’s premed

Muhlenberg has a good rep. It has an excellent track record for placing pre-med students.
