When are they coming out? Does anyone know?
VSB acceptance rate last year was very low… around 9%.
@IloveMyGoogle 9%? I’m not calling you out for being wrong or anything but that’s Ivy League low… Can someone else confirm this too?
@IloveMyGoogle @brian2746 I think that 9% comes from dividing the number enrolled by the total applicants, not taking yield into account. I have heard VSB is like 20-25% but I don’t have a credible source for that.
I applied to Villanova as sort of a reach, although I am 99% sure I am going to Penn State. I have lots of family members (not immediate) who went, so I decided to apply- how do my stats seem?
White female from NJ
1180 SATS
4.4 Weighted GPA
2 varsity sports & many EC’s including NHS
Hold high leadership status w/ principal
Accepted to Penn State UP, West Chester U, Eastern U, and University of Maryland
Applied to Villanova for Bachelor of Arts- Science
I don’t suppose this is an official statistic, but I copied and pasted this from the website:
-VSB Fast Facts
-Bloomberg Businessweek undergraduate ranking: #1 in the nation
-Size of incoming class in 2016: 424
-Number of applications for admissions received: 4,606
-SAT mid-range scores for typically-accepted students: 1310-1430
-Average salary for VSB grads: $61,000
-Student to faculty ratio at VSB: 15 to 1
So yeah not taking into account yield was probably my mistake…
The one thing that would make last nights Nova win even sweeter would be an email from admissions in my inbox!
More like an acceptance in my inbox^^ @Villanova2021 I just want to get my decision already.
Can’t come soon enough but it’ll be soon! @justlmkalready
Soon is so broad @Villanova2021 . My nerves and patience can’t take the suspense.
It’s certainly a big couple of weeks for most of us! Trying to enjoy this time and the whole process. Soon it will be over and there will be other things to stress about. @justlmkalready
VU is the last school I’m waiting to hear from and my top choice. After this, it gets very real. Best of luck to everyone!
are people assuming the 21st this year if decisions came out on the 22nd last year?
MA kids do not have an advantage in MA schools. Sad.
Any update on when decisions are coming out? This is now the last school I’m waiting to hear back from.
Does anyone else have “direct loan entrance counseling process” awaiting on their financial aid part of their application status? it hasn’t been there before for me.
I just saw that today. What do you think it is?
I’m not sure, if everyone has it though it doesn’t mean anything. If only a select few do I feel like it says you’re admitted because why would they be awaiting something for loans if you’re not in?
idk if this is what u guys are looking for but https://www1.villanova.edu/villanova/enroll/finaid/financing/options/directloan.html it says “First time borrowers at Villanova University (Freshmen/Transfers/Graduate Students) must complete Entrance Counseling. If you have not already done so, log on to www.studentloans.gov and complete Entrance Counseling.” @neutopschool @Loganjt1
@a20171 yeah we both have something on our financial aid application status saying direct loan entrance counseling process
I have it too, I think you just need to do it online but I’m not sure if its for everyone or it means something… hopefully it does!!
