I have seen that Villanova's School of Business has definitely been climbing the rankings lately for undergrad, and I am very interested in the school.

Does it get the respect from companies that it should based on rankings?

In addition, I am also wondering a bit about campus life at Nova. I am a student who does not like to study all day, but I am also not a huge partier. I am wondering whether there is a fit for a kid like me at Nova. I especially am not into drinking, and while I can be around it, are there kids at Nova similar to me?

Campus scene is fine. Lately i've heard a lot of really bad things about the biz school. I heard the students are extremely arrogant because of Businessweek's stupid ranking.

they just redid the business building, and it was beautiful when i visited. the senior who gave me my tour said profs were really helpful with getting students jobs, and would ask his students who didnt have one yet, and would set them up with interviews with connections he had.

I've heard their career placement services or whatever are amazing. My cousin went there and has a great job working in Washington D.C.. I forget what she majored in though.

I wouldnt say that the students in the business school are "arrogant". I am a business school student myself, and the students and faculty are indeed very proud of the businessweek rankings. This fact is reinforced so much because the major firms for accounting, finance, marketing, etc. look at these rankings heavilly. The faculty and the studnets want to get this word out, so as to better the school. Everyone at the school looks at this success as a sign that the unity within the school and the help of proffessors and alumni are paying off. However as a student myself I have not witnessed any "arrogance" so to speak. Maybe we can use the word "school pride" to more accurately describe what is happening at VSB.

In addition to this, yes, the rankings definately do reflect the schools success. Goldman Sachs, KPMG, Deloitte, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Merrill, Citigroup, proctor and gamble, Johnson and Johnson, Vangaurd, General Electric are only a few of the many recruiters that come to the school. The rankings have definately put Villanova on the map as a NATIONAL business school in both student and recruiter's eyes.
