Villanova Transfer (Accepted w/o housing)

Anyone transfer to VU know the deal with campus housing?
The college says that there is none, but that they can temporally house you at another University.
Anyone had a similar experience?

I looked into transferring and they said they couldnt give me housing (which isn't a problem since I live 10 mins. away), but still...There's apartments and stuff around and you shouldnt have a problem finding one, but it's not super cheap.

Cash4601--My D has some sorority sisters who transferred into Nova and were housed at small nearby colleges (Cabrini, Haverford). Nova provided shuttles to get to campus.

Cabrini and Haverford arent far away at all, so it's not a big deal if that happens to you.

I thought I saw a comment on here several weeks ago about transfers housed at Rosemont College (Grace Kelly's alma mater), which is literally within walking distance of Villanova.

I had not heard about Cabrini or Haverford. Are people certain that Haverford College houses some Villanova students? That would surprise me a lot. I would not expect Haverford to have much empty housing space or to be interested in taking in lodgers from Villanova. But perhaps I'm wrong.

I transfered to Villanova and was put into the off campus housing last year. I currently have 4 friends that live in the off campus housing this year. The upsides are that u pay less for housing, you get to have a car on campus as a sophomore, and generally if you apply for on campus housing, you will get placed there within a few months. Also all the kids living in the housing are transfer students, so its a prime oppertunity to make your friends at villanova. I had several friends last year who decided to stay in off campus housing for the entire year because they enjoyed it

Sweet, thats what I was hoping to hear.
