Hi everyone,

I am currently a rising junior at Villanova University and a Political Science major/Business minor. I've only recently picked up the Business minor and it has really interested me, but at this point i'm already so far into my Political science route I think it would be irresponsible to change.

So, given Political science as my major, I must now decide whether to stay and graduate at Villanova University or to transfer to USC's school of Political Science, which I have just been accepted to.

I'm not gonna lie- im not the most decisive person in the world. So i could use anyone's help... any advice or input really. Is it worth it to give up everything I have here at Villanova and start anew at USC? I do want to go to law school in california and ultimately I want to live/work there as well (it's my home state).

I am pretty much a 3.7 gpa affluent white kid with a skimpy resume and little direction. Now more than ever I need to get my future on track. I guess what I'm really asking, then, is which school is better?

Thanks, any and all help is appreciated

oh and I should add that I only have about 2 weeks to decide. :(

USC and don’t look back.

^choose the one you like best, and don’t look back (I would choose USC, too lol)

He wants to work in California after he graduates. USC provides much better opportunities in California than Villanova. Not to mention, there’s no denying that USC is a better overall school and seemingly provides a more enjoyable undergrad experience.

ahh, skimmed over that last sentence in the 3rd paragraph, and yes I agree, and to be honest, OP, I don’t think you’re “giving up everything” by going to USC. In fact, I think you would be opening up a whole bunch of new doors, and finding direction like you want.

USC’s PoliSci program is just as good as any in the country, too. My cousin went on to a top-notch law school out of USC as an undergrad, then made bank at a law firm in L.A., and now he’s back there getting his PhD in PoliSci.

I think a wise one said (about an hour ago), “USC and don’t look back.”

By giving up everything I really just meant established social life, friend circles, fraternity, etc. In my mind USC needs to be the superior academic school by far to justify such a dramatic change. From what most of you said, that seems to be the case
