School Type: Small, Catholic School. Believe it or not, my 2050 was in the top ten SAT scores this year and my 30 was trumped by a 31. Fascinating, right? I’m one of two students who applied to an Ivy League College. Last year, a girl got into UPenn Nursing (but they have a crazy high acceptance rate), but she turned it down for Villanova because she had the Presidential Scholarship. A kid got into Duke for Javelin, and someone else might have gotten into Notre Dame. The school only offers seven or so AP classes, and the requirements to take the AP classes are so ridiculous that a person can’t even take all of them. You know how some students take 5 AP’s in one year? That’s the most we can do across all four years. And the AP teachers are not qualified to teach AP if hardly any of their students do well. My parents wanted me to get the best education by putting me in a private school. They put me in a Catholic School instead of a college prep school. And look what happened. I let everyone down. Pope John Paul High School
