Villanova vs. Boston College?

Hello everyone! I have been accepted to the college of arts and sciences at both Villanova and BC and I am currently trying to decide which one to attend. I have read on previous threads that BC is superior academically, but I really loved to environment at Villanova. Can anyone comment on the social differences at these two schools and the differences between the student bodies? Thank you!

Boston College is overrated. Go to Villanova, they are rising in the ranks and honestly academically the same as BC.

PLEASE GO NOVA!! i go here and I have friends at BC who wish they picked nova. The people at nova are some of the nicest you’ll ever meet, and the vibe at BC is much more snotty and competitive than it is at nova. They are close enough academically that it’s not worth it to spend the next 4 years with people you won’t love!!

My daughter was in the exact same situation last year. She ended up choosing Villanova because she just got a better feel there and she couldn’t be happier there! The students there just seem to love it. Boston College doesn’t seem to have the same sense of school spirit that it used to have. We went to the Syracuse football game there last fall (my husband is an alum) and the student section was almost empty. Granted it wasn’t the best weather but still…To be honest, you can’t go wrong with either one but Villanova is definitely on the upswing these days and you can feel it on the campus. Good luck with your choice!
Note - this is a duplicate response to your other post - that’s how much we love Nova!!

To be fair @ManyMajors I went to the BC vs Clemson game this fall (which is obviously going to be huge) and I sat in the student section with some friends who are at BC… The section was absolutely full and the school spirit was very apparent. Just my two cents.

@ManyMajors @baewatch thanks! Right now my head is telling me to go to BC but my heart/gut is telling me to go nova. I’m so confused as to what I should do!!
