Villanova vs. Brown vs. BC vs. Tufts vs. Georgetown

I am down to these five schools. I am planning on majoring in math. All of these schools will cost me about the same amount of money. I visited all of them in the past week, and I love them all! I can not decide which one to go to. Things that are important to me are that there is good school spirit, there is a strong math program, and the students work hard but are still approachable and like to have fun! Can you convince me that Villanova is the best school for me? Thanks.

really? is this a joke? if they all cost you the same amount of money, there are vast differences in quality of education among the five schools. and you surely know of these differences.

Uhhh… no I’m not joking… I guess I don’t really get what you’re saying. Are you saying that Brown is where I should go? Surely Brown has the best education, but what about the other things I am looking for in a school? Please tell me about the “vast” differences, because I really don’t know what they are (that’s why I’m posting). Thanks.

The differences in the math programs are day and night. You said you wanted school spirit, fun and approachable people right. I’d either recommend BC or GTOWN as much as Villanova fan that I am. Villanova is fun and has approachable people, but it’s education can’t be compared to some the schools that you mentioned.

agree 100%, if school spirit/sports/fun are really important id say its between BC and Gtown. Strictly academics would probably be Brown

…Brown!

in this order
brown
georgetown
tufts
bc
villanova

unless you’re taking business

as you can tell by my username, i may be a little biased. All of those schools will offer an excellent education, but I think college is supposed to be more than an education. Villanova offers so much. In terms of school spirit- we are absolutely unmatched. I dont know if you follow college basketball or not, but we did amazing this year and I dont know a single person on campus that didn’t sport their NOVA NATION shirts! When we beat Pitt to get into the final 4, everyone rushed into the quad and started chanting our Nova cheers. I literally got chills- it was one of the most exciting nights of my life.
Aside from the school spirit, Villanova offers tons of cultural opportunities. We are so close to Philly, yet maintain a suburban campus feel. There are tons of clubs on campus and so many campus wide volunteer events that really everyone gets involved in. If you want to know more, PM me!

Brown! ____

BC, Gtown, or brown

both my parents went to gtown, but i had no interest

brown is kind of hippyish

i’d pick BC or gtown if i were you. if you’re not into politics and just want to be with normal ppl who are still ambitious but not insane, choose bc :)
