I will be attending one of these schools in the fall and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions about which I should choose. I am majoring in engineering and I don't plan to join a sorority. Also Villanova offered me about 30K a year and Lehigh offered 35K.

Yeah the money is scholarship money. congrats on your acceptances there as well.

Alot of people tell me that Lehigh is the better choice, but I am worried that if I'm not active in Greek Life then it wont be enjoyable. So again anyone who could post comments or experiences would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

LEHIGH LEHIGH LEHIGH!!!! both of my parents are engineers, and my mom is constantly talking about how up and coming lehigh is as an engineering school, and shes always talking about how she would go there if she were going to college now (she went to rpi). but definitely go to lehigh if your interested in engineering.

and beloved22, im checking both out tomorrow for business, i know villanova's program is gaining a lot of respect, but both are solid.

I may be biased because I am a Villanova Student, but when i decided to transfer to Villanova this year it was between Villanova and Lehigh ( I was accepted to both). I chose Villanova because while the Villanova program is gaining a lot of respect, to be honest the Lehigh program actually went a little downhill from last year (fell in the rankings from 18 to 20). the program here is amazing, and I really dont see how a school other than an Ivy, can really outperform the quality of education or the level of dedication the faculty and staff gives to its students.

And for all those who say that Lehigh is "better school", and who may be going by SAT statistics or gpas. The online published materials are really old. The Average SAT for an accepted Villanova freshman for this year was 1340, and business was much greater.

i forgot to say villanova was published as #12 in business this year (compared to a lehigh ranking of 20), so its pretty safe there is a differential in the programs

I had this same decision about 6 years ago. I chose Villanova engineering over Lehigh and it worked out great. I think the world of Nova - great people, great campus, great education and great hoops!

Don't go by impersonal stats. Both are top schools. You will be the one who makes the experience a successful one, not the school. It sounds like you are leaning toward Villanova. I sense that is likely your best fit. Go with your gut, not numbers on a computer print-out.
