What is the level of Catholicism in Villanova University? Does it affect the social life?

Only if you want to use birth control. :)

According to a friend whose D attends, MoWC is correct. Not only does the health center not dispense birth control, but apparently they will not administer HPV vaccines. Friend tells me there is a Planned Parenthood office not far from campus that is utilized by students.

^^^ OMG! I was kidding! I had no idea!

=)) How about alcoholism on campus? Is it a dry campus?

No - it’s Catholic, not Baptist. ;)

I hope you are inquiring about “alcohol use” as opposed to “alcoholism”. Don’t worry- there’s plenty of booze.

Most Catholic schools are Catholic in spirit and philosophy, but aren’t “in-your-face” religious (mandatory chapel, etc.) I hear a few are, however, like Christendom, UDallas, Ave Maria.

I attended a Catholic school in the northeast, and the booze flowed freely.
