I’m still not sure. I really am having trouble deciding on UVsweethome, the villas, or collegiate village.

I keep hearing good and bad things about both. I especially keep hearing that the shuttles at CV are not frequent enough and too far from campus.

And the bad things about villas and sweethome are that they are poorly maintained and a hassle with the staff. Plus I’m not sure if they have a rent deferral program for financial aid like CV does. I really need to make a decision asap but I don’t want to get stuck somewhere that I’m going to hate

I have a friend who lives in Collegiate Village. It seems nice, but they only difference between the villas and sweethome is that the staff is different and the rent is cheaper. I will say that I hate driving there. I live in the villas currently, and the drive from here (essentially from north campus) to CV is pretty long. She has had no huge problems with their shuttles, but it is a bit of a drive. Regardless of where you choose, you should choose quickly. A different friend who is living with me in the villas next year was told that there weren’t many spots left, and that was in mid-June.

I had to settle for the badly reviewed UV Sweethome because the villas were out of space and I realized I will be on North Campus much more so CV was out of the question. I really hope I will end up liking sweethome. Does anyone know if I have to bring my own shower curtains? I’m composing a list of stuff I’m going to need for the apartment.

If anyone is interested in a studio in the villas for 2010 - 2011 contact me asap. It is extremely nice and very convenient for getting to north campus.

I’m looking to move off campus next year and thought you’d would be able to provide some actual answers to my questions.
I would like to know how your living experience has been so far at UV?
How much is your electricity bill approx. each month?
Did you get to actually do a walk through on the apt. you would be renting (not just the model apt.) before signing the lease? if not, did you get to do a walk through with a staff member on the 1st day you arrived to make sure everything was clean and that the appliances were in working condition or gave a list of things that needed to be taken care of and it was in a timely manner?
Are you happy with the noise level and the security there?
No matter how you look at it, it does seem expensive, do you feel having the freedom of being off campus it is worth the cost?

Thank you for any assistance you can give me.
