I'm just curious if anyone knows why Drexel would be sending me a VIP app....im only a Junior. It says on it I'm "specially selected"...yeah right.

Anyway, I've gotten like an email every day from them and today in the mail just got the actual app and it says apply by March 2009. . . .

its probably because you have taken the SATs and given collegeboard your email? I remember as a junior (currently a senior), after I took the SATs I got plently of email everyday from schools giving me information. As for VIP application - if you exceed their standards you might get one some time. I've gotten the VIP application in the mail and email. gluck

As far as I know, everyone gets a VIP app. Sorry, you're not actually a "VIP". I believe its a great little marketing ploy they put together to try to boost the number of students that apply. I think they started the VIP application last year and so far I think its worked pretty well.

My guess is they target students based on location and other demographics. I also don't think that collegeboard is allowed to release your scores (or other information which is why they may think you are a senior) so they have no way to know on how you did on your tests until you send your scores in officially.

I'm sure that there are some that initially think if a college doesn't have an application fee it must not be a good college somehow... however thats not the case. Drexel's just growing very fast and every year the incoming classes have higher gpa's and test scores.

If you got a VIP app, I encourage you to seriously look into Drexel, since at the very least there is no explicit cost with applying if the fee is waived, right?

yo buzz i applied 2 Drexel VIP and i got myn in the mail the summer going into senior year. They sent me various emails, as well as other things in the mail during junior year. Once i joined their mailing list they started sending me even more. Do u think YOU are apart of their mailing list? Hope that helps.
