When should I hear from UVM if I am a VIP candidate? I sent in my app at the send of September.

I was just wondering the same thing. My son sent his in last week.

My son sent his last week and we checked the website: admitted!! 1st acceptance he got, hope the rest follow suit!

suemesh, When did he apply?

Ps. Congrats!

Thats’s awesome! So the page will say accepted/rejected instead of complete, correct? Mine has been saying “no decision” for about a week. I applied 2 weeks ago.

Outdoors… fancy meeting you here…LOL!! I think you and my S HAVE to meet… you are both applying to all the same colleges… I wonder if you will end up at the same one… My S sent in his VIP this weekend… his status is still incomplete as his HS hasn’t sent in his transcript yet… I think it is getting sent out tomorrow. Do you want to major in ES too?? I think you sent in an early app to CC and L&C right?? So did my S. Did you send one in to Sewanee by chance?

I got in!!! 5boys, I definitely agree that your son and I would get along. I did not apply to sewanee but I applied to L&C, CC, U of Denver, and maybe Whitman RD.

CONGRATULATIONS Outdoors!!! Hopefully my S will hear back soon too… he just need his GC to send in required stuff… My S is applying to CC, L&C, UVM, Whitman, Hamilton, Midd and some of the Maine schools I think. It sure will be interesting to see where the 2 of you end up…I think my S will be SOO relieved to get the first YES!!

so my D submitted hers around Oct. 26, and the UVM website just says No Decision, is that bad?

This is what the UVM website says No Decision means:

If you have no decision, it is for one of three reasons:

Your application is complete but we have not yet released decisions.
Admissions decisions are available online according to the following timeline:
First-year Early Action:
Wednesday, December 14, 2011, 5:00 p.m. (Eastern time)

First-year Regular Notification:
February 15 and March 16, 2012, 5:00 p.m. (Eastern time)

Transfer applicants are sent decisions on a rolling basis starting mid-April for Fall and mid-November for Spring enrollment.

Your application may be incomplete.
Please click the ‘Return to Application Status’ link below and look in the ‘Application Data’ section. The first line ‘Application Status’ will indicate if your application is complete or incomplete. If your application is incomplete, please see the ‘Requirements’ section to find out what information is missing. All application materials should be received by the Office of Admissions as soon as possible; applications that become complete later than six weeks after the final application deadline will be considered on a space-available basis. Our goal is to process your application materials within a week; however, it may take two weeks or potentially longer around application deadlines. Please call the Office of Admissions at (802) 656-3370 if you have questions about your application.

It is beyond the release date and you do not have a decision.
Some decisions require extra days to finalize. Please check this site again in 48 hours to see if your decision has become available. If it hasn’t, please call the Office of Admissions at (802) 656-3370 and ask to speak with the counselor on duty.

Outdoors… still waiting here… My S’s was just maked complete on Monday, so hopefull soon. Did you hear anything about scholarships or Honors college yet?

Your son should be hearing soon then! I have not heard from the honors college or recieved any merit scholarships as I have yet to recieve an official acceptance letter in the mail.

So my application has been complete (has been since last friday), but I don’t see where it says no decision. anyone want to help me out? I don’t know where the decision is going to be posted! Also, did you guys find out after 5pm (release times for other decision days) or just anytime throughout the day? I am dying to find out!

You have to click the button on the bottom of the page “what does my decision mean” in order for it to say no decision. It will say “admit” above the space where it says complete. My status was complete for about two weeks before I found out. Good luck!

This is what mine looks like:
Application Data
Decision: Admit
Application Status: Complete
Application Term: Fall 2012
Application Type: VIP
Student Type: New First Year

ok thanks so much! have you decided if you are going or not?

I applied ED somewhere but UVM is one of my top choices

I applied on October 17 as a VIP candidate and I haven’t heard yet. I know that they’ve gotten everything, and I have fairly good grades (3.6 unweighted, 4.0 weighted GPA) and a high ACT (33) so I’m not that worried about getting in. I just want to hear… right now on the website I’m just listed as “complete” but then when I click on “what does my decision mean?” it says “no decision.” Can I expect to hear before December 14, since I supposedly get rolling admissions?

I heard that UVM VIP candidates hear back within about 3 weeks of completing the application, so you most likely will hear back sooner.

My son applied Oct 20 and his app was complete on the 27th - no word yet, but hopefully in the next few weeks!

My S applied Oct 31st and his app was marked complete on the 1st…he hasn’t heard anything either… he was hoping this week, but maybe it will be another week.
