As getting accepted into college becomes increasingly difficult, high school students are facing more pressure than ever before.

Loudoun Times

they've got somewhat of a point but next door fairfax county's grading scale is even tougher. no boost for honors and only .5 for ap (compared to .7 in loudoun).

In clarke county, which is just over the mountain, all classes, according to the unweighed system, it weighed the same. However, when it comes to weighed GPA, an A+ in an IB class is a 5.2, while it is only a 4.7 for normal classes. But, one down side is that IB, Hon., AP, and IS classes are all weighed on the same scale, even though Hon classes are much easier that IB ones.

When it comes to the grading system, it goes
100-98 +A
97-95 A
92-94 -A
89-91 +B
and so one. So, we have a 9 point scale.
