Virginia Tech has a Guaranteed Admissions Agreement with the VCCS.

Here is the link that lists all of the GAAs [VCCS Transfer](http://www.vccs.edu/students/transfers/)

Here’s the agreement for VT http://www.vccs.edu/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/VT_VCCS_GAA_May2013.pdf

Basically you only need a 3.4 GPA and to complete the pre-reqs listed in the agreement. I’m not sure if the agreement covers all programs, because some are competitive. For example, Tech has a separate agreement for its engineering programs; but I didn’t see a separate one for Pamplin. But even if you cannot get guaranteed admissions, you will be very competitive with a 3.7 and being in-state. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply!

I am trying to transfer early and not get my Associates, so I wont be able to get guaranteed admissions. If I don’t get accepted then I will just finish up the rest of my classes and apply for Guaranteed Admissions.

Oh ok. I was just making sure you knew about the guaranteed agreement. I am surprised by the amount of community college students that are unaware of it.

I can understand that you would like to transfer sooner. Just keep in mind that the less college credits you have, the more weight your high school record is given. If you complete your Associate’s (whether you go the guaranteed admissions route or not), admissions officers look solely at your performance in college.
