Are you in-state or OOS? If you’re in-state (especially from NOVA area) I would be working on other options too. Your stats are shaky for VT imho.
Could go either way and wouldn’t surprise me. My son got into VT last year (did not attend - stayed in-state here in FL), and my sibling’s child goes there, so this is all coming from memory. I would not be surprised by a deferral to RD round.
My son and relative had higher stats and they were coming from OOS. There is a debate about whether that helps your odds. I do not know the answer but I’m sure VT doesn’t mind OOS $$. I’ve also heard the scuttle-butt that the bar is higher for NOVA kids because there is so much competition from that area, and the schools value geographic diversity.
VT has gotten more competitive it seems to me. If you get deferred hang in there.
