Virginia Tech chances

I go to New Trier, a very competetive public high school in Illinois. My GPA is a 3.9 on a 4.0 scale. This year, I'm taking AP psych, pre-calc, humanities, art history, and french 5. I'm also in all the top music ensembles at my school which include Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Jazz 1, and Symphony Orchestra. My ACT score was 23 and I plan to retake it in the fall. I'm not a fantastic test taker so my chances of scoring higher than that are minimal. I also coach Special Olympics and a little league team for kids with special needs. I plan on majoring in French and international affairs as well as playing in music ensembles.

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

Does anyone have any thoughts about my chances of admission?

your ACT is definitely going to be the hardest part to sell to an admissions committee. i think if you could get the score up even just a little bit, your chances of acceptance would be much higher. however, your GPA is PHENOMENAL and E.C.'s are also outstanding. if you can stress these factors, write a GREAT essay, and get your hands on some really spectacular recommendations, you're probably safe. good luck!!
