If it’s Friday then it is going to be a long week haha
It’s gonna be a very and very long week. Past indicators suggested Friday Feb 6 at 5pm … nothing sooner is expected, thus you are released to do something else fun & productive for the week, e.g., helping Mom & Dad around the house. Best to all hopeful Hokies. May the force be with you!
has anyone found out yet???
I feel like it will be friday at 5
yeah you guys don’t count on anything until Friday that’s when they usually release decisions
I’m trying to convince myself that I don’t care anymore haha so not working
It’s only 81 hours! Not counting or anything…
I recieved an email yesterday informing me that my application was put on hold until march with a decision pending based upon my mid term grades being sent in. Also noted in the email that I shouldnt expect to be admitted in fall due to my lack of college maths on my transfer transcript(regardless of being listed as classes i’ll be taking this summer). I’m going to stay positive and hope for the best come march, but if not then the grind continues until next year.
@Veteran4VT I wish you the best of luck! Stay positive! What is your major, if you don’t mind my asking??
Wildlife Conservation
@veteran4VT Thanks for your post. It’s helpful to the board. Regarding your situation, it’s a deferral w/ a contingent acceptance. Push harder, my friend. Send in your mid-term report. If not March, you still have until late July to meet requirements.
I completely agree! Keep going Veteran4VT. Send mid-year grades and do not give up. Take the math in summer first session (you could be done by late June with those if you take the shorter, early session (May-June). A deferral means that they would admit you if you meet requirements and so jump through the hoops and work for what you want
Does anyone know if they would release 4 year universities with the first wave also?
@hokiehopeful2 you should call and ask!! I’m curious too.
also how early did you apply @hokiehopeful2?
@Veteran4VT had you not taken any maths last semester and this semester? Like you were gonna take it in summer?
@Veteran4VT Can you tell me what classes you’ve taken and are you a sophomore trying to transfer or freshman?
I’m not really sure where I fall to be honest, I’ve been taking classes since 2012 I believe. Between deployments and other circumstances I can only take around 2 classes per semester. I’m finishing my pre-reqs to take the maths that my major requires. I’ve taken bio 111,112 eng 111,112 chem 111, Mte 6,7, and sdv100 then miscellaneous transfer credits from the military.
Hi Im new to this but the dead line for international transfer is Feb 15 so I
m finishing up mine.
Current GPA : 3.75
University Ryerosn University (Canada)
EC : So so extra curriculum
But I have a personal tragedy that I overcame since grade 12 of my highschool life, so I think that would benefit me during the application process.
Do I have a chance?
Also can I include recommendation letter from my professor ?
@happenandahppens Welcome! you are not providing enough stats to determine. GPA alone ain’t mean much. How many credits have you earned? What major(s) are you interested in? EC and recommendation are secondary to GPA and # earned credits + the reqs. At VT, they don’t generally read recommendation letters. The good news is GPA 3.75 would qualify for most majors provided you had enough reqs + credits.
