Past indicators suggested a Hokie bird too but no one has seen any…gobble gobble
I know people will hit the server crazy starting 6am don’t do that though … they log your IP and rescind your offer
it appears they’re doing things differently this year
@quanfo if I don’t get into Virginia Tech, I’m going to apply to George Mason University
Has anyone received an email from Virginia Tech Financial Aid? I got one today at 4:54PM that said my Financial Aid Award Package was posted to my Hokie SPA, but I still don’t know what this means. Any Ideas guys? :-?
I received that email as well. Sounds like a good sign to me since you have to be a student to have a Hokie SPA account.
@hope @TCC but have you guys submitted FAFSA or finaid app? Nevertheless, it’s great sign guys!
@ashleydawn same here, I will try JMU and GMU
@quanfo Yes to FAFSA, although I haven’t done my taxes yet lol. And Yes to general financial aid profile, but Still have scholarships to apply to
@hope yeah … I thought you must have applied; otherwise, you should have received that email! Good luck, dude
It’s OFFICIAL that verdicts will be read out in the evening tomorrow, e.g., a second after 5pm … not anytime sooner
Hi all, I’m a freshman currently attending George Mason University. I’m planning on transferring to Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering. A little nervous about this but here goes:
My current undergraduate GPA: 3.61
Fall Semester courses (12 credits):
Calculus 2: A
English: B+
History: B+
Intro to engineering: A-
(Side note: I withdrew from public communication; reason was it was a pretty useless class for my major but I’m not sure how much this will affect my overall chances of getting in)
Spring courses I’m taking as of now (16 credits):
Chemistry
Calculus 3
Intro to signal analysis
Music theory
Linear algebra
I’m trying for College of Engineering too (currently a freshman at VCU). I currently have a 4.0 (17 credits: Calculus 1, Intro to Engineering, Chem 101, English, Energy) and am taking 18 credits: Calc 2, Sociology, Engineers programming/CAD, English 2, and Physics. We have to wait a while longer than most of these guys though, as they get priority from CC. Good luck!
I posted my stats a while back but here is a better update.
Current freshman at GMU transferring to VT’s College of Engineering
NVCC GPA: 4.00
GMU GPA: 3.67
Summer 2014 (Northern Virginia Community College):
Calculus 2 : A
Fall 2014 (George Mason University):
English 101: A
Intro to Engineering: B+
Calculus 3: A
Physics 1: A-
Physics 1 Lab: C+ (it’s only 1 credit so it didn’t really hurt my GPA)
(I also withdraw from a Intro to Computer Programming course because of family issues but did not mention anything about it on my application.)
Spring 2015 (George Mason University)
Chemistry 1
Intro to Signal Analysis
Differential Equations
Linear Algebra
Fundamentals of Music
So chances?
@HopefullHokie15 when did you submit your FAFSA and financial aid profile?
FAFSA/financial aid application isn’t due until Mar. 1 for applicants, however, if submitting a scholarship application then that is due Feb. 15, so would assume that FAFSA is due sooner for those that are applying for the scholarships. That’s great that some of you already submitted your FAFSA.
@gmhokie45 did u get an email?
Today is the big day…good luck to all the Hokie Hopefuls!!!
@gmhokie45 about a month ago
JUST ACCEPTED!!! EVERYONE CHECK!!
