Hello everyone!
My son is a senior and is applying to Virginia Tech's school of engineering and I was wondering what was your guys' opinion on his chances of acceptance.
GPA (weighted): 3.95
SAT: 670 Math 590 CR
Extracurriculars: varsity tennis for 4 years, does a science olympiad, robotics, has made a math club at his school, does environment club, and a couple other clubs.
Does community service at an assisted living home for engineering every week
AP’s : AP World History, AP US History, AP Environment, AP Physics 1, AP Language and Composition, AP Computer Science, AP Government, AP Calculus BC, AP Latin, and AP Biology. He is also taking a course in stem engineering.
I know that he doesnt have a very good GPA or SAT but his extracurriculars seem ok and he told me that he took to many AP’s so thats why his GPA is low. I would like to know what his chances are so I can tell him bluntly whether he has a chance or not.
