<p>Any transfers from GMU out there? Or other 4-year schools? I am curious if it is harder to get in from a 4-year than from a VCCS school. @vtesl2014 I know you are from UT. Seems like most of you that are posting are from a VCCS.</p>

<p>@ccawealthofinfo They give priority to the instate community college kids for sure I think on their site they even say that somewhere. But I think as long as you have those core classes done and have a strong GPA its alright no matter where you’re coming from. I applied to HNFE last year with a 3.25 and was rejected I did some research looked at Open majors ( majors that accept external transfers) decided to go for political science got my grades up to a 3.64 then got in this time around. I plan on switching to Business when I can. </p>
<p>I’m coming from a community college & mine still isn’t posted. I have a 4.0 & am transferring into Human Development.</p>

<p>Thanks @vtesl2014, curious about where you find the list of open vs closed majors. You posted a note in January about a “major guide” that showed open vs closed but I cannot find it online…can you point me the right direction? Thanks.</p>

<p>I don’t think they are doing it by major. Me and my friend are both going for business management and she found out this morning and I have yet to find out.</p>
<p>Well then I really hope they aren’t sending out acceptances first, and waiting until the last day to send out denials.</p>

<p>What is everyone’s backup options? I don’t feel too confident in my chances of getting into VT, but I did get accepted into Ohio State and Alabama. </p>
