Virginia tech transfer student

Hi I applied for Virginia tech in January and was denied because I did not have any math credits but after talking to an admission counselor he said as long as I complete the math courses I can appeal the decision. Well I finished the math courses over that spring and summer semester and after i appealed the decision, the counselor said there was increased enrollment and space limitation so I was denied for the fall semester. He told me I would be considered for the spring semester if I appealed again.
My questions are: is he just trying to deny admission in a nice way by saying there is increased enrollment and space limitation?
Should I try appealing the decision and try to get in the spring 2013 semester?
What would I write in my appeal if I have no new information to write about?
Please help me out I'm very curious and I really want to attend Virginia tech. Thanks guys

Forgot to mention that I am trying to apply from a CC

See a thread on the VT forum. Two other transfer students had either late paperwork or needed a summer course and are now being denied due to space. They’ve also been told that no transfer applications will be accepted for Spring 13. The next available date will be for Fall 13. They were from Va CC’d as well. I don’t think you’re getting the run-around. I think they are seriously overcrowded and trying to manage that.

this is true–my daughter was accepted as a transfer but unfortunately got a “D” in one of her classes – she immediately retook the class (upon the counsel of the admissions officer @ VT) – they told her to report her mid-term grade (and they even told her that she could pursue housing for the Fall – as long as she thought she could pull a “B” or better); she reported mid-term of “B+” – they said report again at the end of the course with final grade…all this time they had indicated that she had a more than good chance of being re-admitted. She finished with a “B” – reported the grade and this past Monday rec’d an email saying that she was denied admissions due to space! We were more than shocked. She also rec’d an email from the college she had been admitted to telling her how sorry they were about this…and he (the Dean of the college) restated that there would be no admissions accepted for the Spring’13 semester either. So she will continue with the local community college…keep up her grades & GPA to at LEAST a 3.0 and reapply…with the hopes of being admitted…again! Bottom line…don’t get a “D”!!! They’ll rescind your acceptance and your chances of being readmitted are not guaranteed. She learned the hard way.
