Which college is harder to get into and earns more respect? Also which college would better set you up for an Ivy Grad school?

George Washington University is substantially better.
But honestly, grad schools wouldn’t care about whichever one you go to.

Viirginia Tech and George Washington are both considered Tier 1 colleges by US News. GWU at 51 and VT at 69. If you are instate for Virginia Tech, I would imagine it would be much cheaper for you ,unless you get substantial aid from GWU. Either school should afford you good opportunities after undergrad if you work hard and do well. Virginia Tech is very strong in engineering and architecture . Both schools are well respected.

The schools are peers, but the campus environment could not be more different! That’s the obvious way to decide between them if you get in.
