Virginia Tech VS UGA

Hi guys, I’m accepted as a transfer student to both schools, but I’m a foreigner so I don’t know which one is better engineering school.

My major would be general engineering at VT (probably I will choose computer or electrical engineering) and electrical engineering at UGA.

I’m not a citizen so tuition does not matter.

Thanks,

VT over UGA. UGA really doesn’t have an engineering dept.

^ UGA has engineering. Why would you say that?

OP: You seem to be confusing the University of Georgia in Athens with Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta.

If your choice really is between UGA & Virginia Tech, then go to Virginia Tech if you want to study engineering.

@itsgettingreal17 I think UGA is only allowed majors that don’t conflict with Georgia Tech.

If the poster meant GT, then obviously GT over VPISU.

@Greymeer Are you for real? Google is your friend. As is reading. The OP has already said he was accepted to engineering at UGA. Why would you even question then that they offer the major.

I kept reading the OP comments to see if there is any confusion but can’t see it… why would UGA not have an engineering school? Even though they do

UGA in Athens haha. If I will be accepted GT, I will choose GT. But now I am only accepted VT and UGA in Athens.

VT has the stronger national profile in engineering. It’s a pretty isolated (but beautiful!) location in the mountains but has a large and very well respected engineering program.

Congrats to you!!
