What are my chances of getting admitted as a sophomore if I currently have a 2.95 gpa? (I only have 4 grades from first semester, one being a C, which is bringing down my gpa). In high school I had a 3.65 gpa, a 1760 sat (all sections), a ton of extracurriculars and honors, 7 AP classes, and I was waitlisted. What are my chances?

What are my chances of getting accepted? I am a sophomore at a private college in VA. Im a political science major. I have a 3.64 gpa and ive taken geology 101 102, Math 2004 and 1525, and English 1105 and 1106 and the introductory political science courses. Im in a lot of clubs and had an internship at the state capital. Also, I wrote a pretty good essay I think.
