<p>Please place everybody in VT in your prayers, especially the victims and their families. It is a real tragedy what has happened and let's pray it will not happen again to anybody anywhere.</p>
<p>The dean of the College of Engineering, where much of the slaughter took place, is the former head of PSU's department of Mechanical Engineering. He has expressed appreciation to his Penn State family for their outpouring of support and kindness. </p>
<p>One of the students who was killed is a Penn State alum, who grew up nearby in Bellefonte. Please hold that family in your hearts as well.</p>
