I had a virtual appointment 2 weeks ago with a counselor from UCLA. He helped me make a fall 2011 schedule during the meeting. You guys know if the sched we made during the virtual meet was official? I thought that freshmen were supposed to enroll during Orientation-not that I'm complaining as the fall sched the counselor helped me with was awesome.

I tried asking UCLA but no answers.

Thanks for helping!

P.S. I'm in session 112(for the internationals/non-ca residents)

I don’t think you can enroll until your orientation session. The counselor probably just helped you to plan your schedule out and that’s it. To double check, you can go into my ucla and check your class planner or go into ursa in the enrollment menu. If it doesn’t show you being in enrolled in any classes, then you aren’t enrolled, but I doubt you are enrolled right now.

Yes, it is official. I did the virtual counseling few days back and asked the same question. During the Orientation in session 112, instead of choosing your courses, you’ll only go over your choices with the counselor.

I don’t know if anyone’s in the same boat as me, but I missed my counseling because I miscalculated time zones. I’m in Session 112. I e-mailed the person from whom I received the original e-mail about my appointment. Anything else that I should do?

I also had my virtual counselling and I chose some courses but I am having second thoughts about it. Does anyone know if i can change a course in the 112 orientation?

@kipling123, hi! where on URSA did the school upload your sched? I had the virtual counseling session on July 9. I checked the “View Study List” option on URSA- no new sched :(

It was on the view study list. Maybe it takes a little more than a week for the school to upload your schedule. No need to worry. I’m sure it will be there soon. Good luck on your schedule!

Oh wait. Your virtual counseling session was on july 9th? That’s strange. Mine was on July 12th and it’s already uploaded on URSA. Maybe you should contact the person who managed your virtual counseling just in case.
