Is it harder to get an F1 visa if you want to attend a community college?

I guess so. Can you tell me if I will have to show that I can bear the full amount of the cost of college or only one year’s fee at the visa interview?

No it is not. Whether or not you get a visa depends on your personal eligibility, not the college you wish to attend.

PhoenixR, you need to have enough money in a bank account to pay for the first year, and a reasonable plan to pay for the rest of your studies (e.g. pay stubs indicating that your parents earn x amount of money each year). Your college is supposed to verify that you can finance your studies before they issue your I-20. The embassy may or may not double-check that assessment.

Hey, Barium, I’d PM you sometime later and would like to catch up on the details of F1 Visa.
