visa to travel during study abroad?

<p>I'm a South Korean citizen and will be in England for the fall. I am not required to get a visa for study abroad because I will be there for only 3 months. But I will be traveling to other areas within Europe. Do certain countries require visa even for travels (short weekend trips, a week long trips at the longest)?</p>

<p>No you need a Schengen visa to enter the Schengen countries. The UK isn’t in Schengen, but it is in the EU.</p>

<p>Honestly do NOT take visa advice from a random message board. If we are wrong, you could end up in jail! Speak to an embassy or consulate in your home country before you leave.</p>
