visit: do parents have to go?

I am thinking of visiting Princeton this Columbus Day. However, my parents can't go. Is it okay if I go by myself? I am thinking of doing the Orange Key tour, Admission Info Session and sitting in a few of classes.

So would it be fine if I drive up to NJ by myself?

I don't see why not. My only question is: will there be classes on Columbus day? If so, then it sounds fine.

There were many HS students without parents when I was on n Orange Key Tour in February. Call ahead to firm up their schedule.

That is very good news to my ears. I cannot stand my parents when I look at colleges with them. I need them to just let me be so that I can take in the scenery and aura of the place on my own.

Wayman I understand. My dad nitpicks at everything, and tries to 100% control everything. It's like I'm meeting with a faculty member and it's like he's applying not me. :)

it was a good idea for me, because parents pay for college and princeton is the place to take parents to be impressed. by the end of the visit, i think my dad would've written a check on the spot- he liked it that much.

do you guys know anything about overnight stays? are they available? I guess I should call admissions office.....couldn't find it on their website
