I'm flying into JHU for a visit-interview. I'm having issues scheduling my return flight, however. The class I'm sitting in on ends at 5:00 PM and I wish to fly out on the same day. When should I be scheduling my return flight in order to be able to get to BWI without feeling like I may miss it? What mode of transport do you recommend to and from the airport? How long does each type of transport take to get to campus? (Note: I will not have much luggage with me.)

Which is fine when they’re reimbursing me for it from the airport to campus (I’d still rather another option to save them some money, but they insisted), but on the way back to the airport, I’d like to know if anyone has any other timely options.

Around 5 pm, rush hour and all, I’d say plan at least an hour to the airport. Plus 1+ hour to check in etc. Best not to schedule a flight before 7.30pm or so.

While you could do super shuttle to the airport, you’re likely best off just taking the cab if you have time issues. There is a light rail option (cheap) but that will also take you 1hr+ by the time all’s said and done and involve shuttle and a train transfer. Not a great option if you don’t know what you’re doing.
