Visit recs for Northwestern, Purdue, U Mich, MIT, Columbia, Penn, Penn State, CMU, GA Tech

The Union Club is beautiful and absolutely you can’t beat the location. I didn’t appreciate you were staying overnight in W. Lafayette. There are some really nice dinner options if you are looking for something a bit higher end. Our favorites are Bistro 501 and East End Grill (Mountain Jack’s is also great but on the other end of town). IMO, it’s worth eating in downtown W. Lafayette to explore the other side of the river ; )

For breakfast, my D loves Another Broken Egg Cafe and Town and Gown.

Great suggestions, thank you!

@momofboiler1 our S is very interested in the honors college at Purdue and has a few specific questions - without hijacking my own thread, would you be willing to share any insight via PM?

Yes re hotels on campus or affiliated hotels. Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is great and in Tech Square across from the bookstore. When I was looking with my oldest (engineer), we stayed at the UT Hotel and Conference Center in Austin which was great and also the Va Tech Hotel and Conference Center. After staying at UT, we decided to look at those options first and were not let down.

Of course. Please PM your questions!!

Thank you @momofboiler1! Would you mind originating the PM? CC won’t let me reach out to you.

Hopefully my PM went through!
