I visited Clark on Sat. for the Presidential Scholar's Day, and just thought I'd give a small review on it. Others who visited, please give your opinions as well! :)

Glance
When I first got to Worcester, I had a horrible time finding places because of the road signs. I just had to mention that. At first look, the buildings looked well-kept and the campus had a nice feel, imo. It had recently snowed but the roads and sidewalks were completely cleared.

Classes
The professors I had for my learning modules (for scholar's day) were AMAZING. I felt completely comfortable and they were very quirky and interesting. In fact I had lunch with two English professors who were just the nicest people ever, and very down to Earth. I actually liked the professors I met there compared to the ones at my high school.

I had classes in two rooms-- one was average looking, another was just completely gorgeous, complete with chairs that could rock back. ;) On tour, I visited the building where a majority of the classes would be held (so she said) and the classes were normal sized and cozy, even if the desks were rather old.

Students
I have to mention that I really like Clark for its atmosphere. Everyone I met and talked to were just really interesting and nice. I have to mention that I come from a very diverse high school, and being Asian myself, I did notice that I didn't really see anyone of any other race other then Caucasian.

Dorms
Er. Small. Small. Cramped. I walked into one and felt a bit caustrophobic, even the hall ways were very narrow. There are suites for upperclassmen, though I didn't visit one.

Facilities
Hm. Ok I guess. I wasn't completely impressed, though I wasn't turned off either. I liked the fitness center for some reason. Large windows, comfortable though small. I can totally imagine myself in there cycling and reading.

Safety
Didn't feel unsafe at all. I went to Boston then Flushing, NY before getting home (MD) and I actually felt safer at Worcester. At least cars stopped for me. The blue lights and yellow boxes for emergency calls is a nice asset too. It might not be the best, close-knit suburb neighborhood, and not the most modern and active, but shrug.

Activity
There is a lot of stuff happening on campus. I have no clue what I'd do off campus though. While I don't feel unsafe off campus, I felt it was somewhat lacking in spiffy stuff to do. One could always go to Boston I guess.

General Consensus
I like Clark. I think I would enjoy my time there esp. the 5th year MBA program and study abroad and the students. I would go if I got the scholarship money and some more. I wouldn't go if I had to pay the $30,000/year, I honestly don't think it's worth that much.

What about you guys? :)
