Visit to Campus/ Interview INFO

Hey,
my sister went to wake forest and when I visited the NC area, I visited DUke. However, it was not an official visit. I did not sit in any classes but merely strolled around the vicinity, hung out with Duke students, and went to a basketball game. I know its not a big deal and its one of those that can help you but not hurt you, but I feel like I did not have an official recorded visit in Duke's books so when I mention of my visit, I dont want them to think I'm lying or anything.

In addition, I live in NJ and want an interview. Do you think a great impression to a local interviewer is also one of those things that can really help me for ED admissions.

Thanks

Hey again, Duke doesnt take the # of contacts you've had with them into consideration when they review ur file. The interview is on a first come first serve basis - ur priority date is the date which they recieve part 1 of ur application. There is a deadline, afterwhich u wont be scheduled for an interview if u send in part 1 after that date - im not sure what the deadline for interviews is - check on their website for taht. All interviews are regional - its w/ an alum in ur area. A good interview can help a lot b/c it falls under the area of recoommendations, one of the 6 areas they evaluate in the app. So if u can get a great interview across and the interviewer highly recommends you, u can get an extra boost in that section of the application review process.
