So I've decided that I need to start visiting schools, but the only chunk of free time I have until Spring Break is February 17th - 21st. I was wondering if you guys could help compile a list of private colleges in the midwest/northeast/mid-atlantic regions with actual visitation programs during those dates, so I could maybe tackle a few of them. I'm not limiting myself to strictly 'events' during those dates, since I'll hopefully be visiting University of Chicago and Northwestern then as well, but I'd really prefer for there to be a structured program. Thanks!

Since we have no idea what schools you are interested in, you are probably better off checking out the websites of the schools you want to visit and go from there.

One word of caution - don’t go anywhere that week that does not require a reservation. We went to UMass on Presidents Day a couple of years ago - you didn’t need to register. As a result, they had no idea how many people to expect and there were not enough tour guides. The groups were so big - it definitely put a negative spin on the school.

For NU: [Visit Calendar :: Office of Undergraduate Admission - Northwestern University](http://ugadm.northwestern.edu/visit/plan-your-visit/visit-calendar.html)
Just sign up!

I think you can go to Loyola, UChicago, Notre Dame, and NU in two days maximum since they’re located relatively close to each other.
For the Northeastern schools, you definitely need more time. Even the Mass. area has Williams, Amherst, Harvard, Tufts, etc…

Yeah, I’ll probably stick to midwestern/Illinois schools since I my mom also wants to see her sister who lives near NU that weekend. I really like UChicago, NU, and Notre Dame … are there any schools nearby that have actual visitation programs? I’m also interested in liberal arts colleges like Oberlin and Carleton. I’m fine with normal walking tours, but the only way my mom will actually agree to taking me around to schools is if there is something structured for her to participate in.

Every school has regularly scheduled tours and information sessions. Check the schools’ websites for daily schedules and reservations (if applicable).
