First, thanks everyone for the all help and suggestions.

HappyMom and Mom2collegekids - I did run EFC based on last year taxes and it was it was zero…But our income changes every year as my husband owns his own business but I assume itsa going to be close to last year… that is way I said probably zero.
We can afford 20,000 or so a year because husbands business had done very well in the past allowing us to pay off just about the whole mortgage on our house… I am 39 years old and was going to refinance the house and/or use the line of credit to pay the 20,000 a year since we have the equity in the house. Also, my parents have mention if he gets in someplace he really wants to go… they would cover what we could not… The University of Richmond said that their FA package will only contain 5,000 a year in loans that rest would be grants etc… So, I thought that school could work out good. But, thanks for the links I am going to sit down and try and get some hard numbers.

Informative - Thanks for the great list… we have visted both Wake and Villanova and might add them back on to the list… Vtech has also come up in conversation. I think he just thought others had better stats and EC and he would not have a chance…

Mizzbee - Yes Butler was on the list because of Pharmacy and Computer Science and he is applying by Nov 1st.

Ghostbuster - I have mention Fordham from right from the start after was saw holy cross and BC and its about an hour from our house… but he just said don’t even want to look there…ugh… Even though Marist is not a top notch school it does have a great CS dept and a great relationship with IBM …they also offer a MS in CS or MBA in a 5 year program and with his AP credits he can take he would be starting with almost 30 credit and probably could graduate in 4 years with a Masters… I am not sure about everything… but that did sound like a pretty good choice.

Stats 21…visited UVA and really like it… but no chance as an OOS.

I do appreciate everyone’s input. I am hoping he will add two more low reach schools to his list as i still feel if he does not get in to his first couple of choice which are 50/50 at best… the tier schools do drop off quite a bit and would like him to have some better choices…
Thanks again…
