visited colleges when a kid - would admissions offices still use this when i apply?

as a kid, i know i visited several schools such as MIT, Yale, and Dartmouth. my guidance counselor says that visits and things such as asking questions to an admissions officer at a fair make you more attractive to that certain school. do visits as a young kid still count?

thanks!

Are these visits as in “my family went to a football game and we checked out the campus while we were there” or “i was truly interested in school XYZ academically at the age of 10” visits?

and some schools track visits and attendance at info sessions, others don’t. it varies from school to school.

we just visited the school because we were in the area and we were interested, walked around campus, etc.

No, I don’t think so.

MIT and Yale track interest; Dartmouth does not (per CDS).

While it wouldn’t be dishonest to say you visited those universities, why not try to visit them again? I’m sure they’ve changed quite a bit since then, and it’s very different to visit colleges as a prospective student. It’s worth visiting colleges, admissions boost or no.

Most probably no. I assume you weren’t signed up for any sort of session, how would they even know you were there?
