Visiting a class while visiting Princeton?

Planning a visit for Frebruary. Didn't see anything obvious on the admissions web site about visiting a class. What's the procedure to visit a class (math)? Will there be a list of open classes, or is it better to contact department/prof directly?

It’s been a few years since DS did this, but as I recall you can contact the admissions department and they’ll give you list of classes where the professor allows prospective students to quietly sit in.

What Sherpa said. You can contact the admissions office beforehand (they will also have a list of classes when you do visit too). If there is a course that is NOT listed, then you can e-mail the professor to see if he will allow you to sit in for the day. Most professors are very friendly, and I doubt that many will turn you down.

Well, I’ll tell you a short story. I went to visit a friend of mine at Princeton one day, but she had a morning POL class. It was a medium sized, around 75 kids. Since I didn’t really feel like waiting around, I kinda just sat in on it. I quietly took notes on Rousseau and his theories. It was a good time. In response to your question, I would go through the official routes that Sherpa suggested, but know that so long as you can find a large enough class, it likely won’t really matter.
