<p>I’m visiting Amherst next week. Is there anything special that I should make sure that I do/see (besides the tour and info session)?</p>
<p>Sit in on a class. Talk to profs in a dept. you're interested in.</p>
<p>If you have time, take the short walk into town for Antonio's pizza and Bart's ice cream. I recommend the chocolate turtle ice cream- yum. Antonio's is really cheap - about $2.50 a slice and $0.75 for a small soda.</p>
<p>If you like nature (or even just spring springing about,) you should take a walk in the nature preserve. It's really pretty especially now that the trees are blooming.</p>
<p>Talk to students, visit freshmen dorms, go to the parties/other campus events. I'd also suggest just touring the campus on your own too.</p>
