Visiting campus - where to stay?

We're taking our daughter to visit DAAP in Feb. Generally I like to stay on campus, if possible, in the union. Is there a student union at UC? Anywhere on the campus where visitors can stay overnight?

There is a Marriott hotel on the Medical campus. Also a brand new Hampton Inn just off campus. I think these are the only options within walking distance.

The Marriott is very nice though a bit pricey. They do have special pricing for UC events, I’m not sure if they have a normal UC discount though.

Thank you!

The Hampton Inn is brand new, and right across the street from campus on the NE corner. There is no parent housing ON campus.

DAAP is on the NW corner of campus, just to orient you.

Are you going to have a car? I stayed at the LivInn Suites in Sharonville. It was about a fifteen minute drive. It is pretty cheap if you book through Expedia and the rooms were nice.

beastman, check out [Hotel Information, University of Cincinnati](http://ccm.uc.edu/admissions/campusvisit/hotel_information.html). I’ve stayed at the first two listed. Although the 2nd isn’t on campus, it’s just a short walk away. Enjoy your visit!

They need to update this page to include the Hampton Inn next to campus.

Thanks, everyone. We actually had our visit last week and wound up at SpringHill Suites about 2mi from campus. This is very nice and brand new - very contemporary - but wasn’t cheap. This was AFTER we bolted from the Quality Inn downtown which should probably be condemned. During the time I was on the phone with Expedia trying to get a refund my wife took perverse delight in reading the negative online reviews of the place, particularly the one written by the woman who found a steaknife in the bed. Typically I read reviews before booking but not this time!

If you are giong to have a care, I highly recommend Newport. It’s on the Northern Kentucky side of the river, but it’s lively, and there is much to do.
