Thanks for taking the time to read this! I'm a current hs junior who'll be visiting Duke sometime next week and was wondering what, if anything, would be good to know/do/ask while I'm there. I'm pretty much clueless about all this so any advice would be very much appreciated.

I suggest you attempt to coordinate your visit to include Undergraduate Admissions’ information session and walking tour (<a href=“Visit - Duke Undergraduate Admissions”>Apply - Duke Undergraduate Admissions). Further, if you know any current students (and they may be gone, since next week is Spring Break), I recommend you ask if you could spend a little time “shadowing” them (a class or two, some time just chatting with their friends and dorm-mates, etc.). Finally, I’d devote several hours just to walk around both undergraduate campuses (Bostock Library and the Bryan Center, Lilly Library and the Marketplace on East, Wilson Rec, certainly the Chapel and the Gardens, a couple dorms, labs and classroom buildings (if possible), and so forth). While doing so, politely ask students questions and briefly engage them in conversation – you’ll learn a lot that’s valuable. Finally, HeyLei, the foregoing plans will obviously be somewhat more difficult to execute, since Duke’s Spring Break continues through 17 March.
