We are planning on taking a trip to the East Coast next April. I live in California and really have no idea what the weather will be like when we get there. We will stop in RI towards the end of our trip, somwhere around April ninth or tenth…What is the weather usually like in Provincetown at that time of year? rainy? wet? snowy?

Brown is in Providence. Provincetown is on Cape Cod. As to the rest of the question, I am unsure. I blame Vampire Weekend for creating such confusion.

There shouldn’t be any snow – that would be very unusual (although it has happened, and if you are visiting northern New England, even more likely …). It could be raining, damp and chilly, or it could be gloriously sunny and warm. Nights will be chilly. Layers – lots of layers. T-shirts, long sleeve shirts, sweaters, jacket; might want to pack scarf and gloves, just in case. Some weather websites let you search for past weather on specific days – I’d do that to get the temperature ranges.
