visiting in Feb.

Ok so I'm set to visit in Feb......... but, honeslty I dont think I stand a chance..... My mom has a warped sense of what grades you need to get into elite universitiess....long story short I am from arizona and have a 4.0 weighted and 2000 sats.... I know that those stats are not UCLA quality... so honostly the last thing I want to do is visit and then fall in love with it,,, and then get my rejectection letter.... Comprendes?

any advice??

chillin til 08:

UCLA: Reach (out of state)

if you dont get in to your "love" schools.... there's a thread somewhere in the parents forum about kids getting rejected to schools and falling in love with their other choices and how they're doing well there

There are thousands of universities in this country and limitless opportunities. I'm sure you'll find something suitable for you.

In ten years no one is going to care where you graduated from

I know.. I know...... and Flopsy I know it is a reach..i stated that in my thread

It just seems like I have a lot of reaches.....and I dont want to settle for a schools that I am not in "love" with

Here are soem other ones
ND
Mich
BC
Miami

Those are all reaches for me........but with my competitive spirit...if I dont recieve admission to any of those 4...I'm not going to be happy
I know it will be a distinct possibilty.........
So I'd assume that was a no to my visit question..

I don't think it hurts to visit since you're not that far away. Your may still get in with your stats or maybe you can boost your SAT or ACT. As long as you're in the area, come down and visit UCSD if you're interested. It's a bit easier to get into than UCLA but is still a highly regarded Uni.

What about UofA? It'd be a lot less expensive than UCLA OOS.

The last thing I want to do is go down to tuscon for 4 years........sorry
UCSD is interesting...Im also really interested in USD.....i love taht campus

If you want to get out of Arizona, then you have TONS of options...

What kind of climate are you looking for? Does it even matter?
